Is the cubs curse real?

I don’t really know that much about the cubs curse. All I know about the cubs curse is that supposable about 100 years ago to this current season a curse was placed on the cubs. Supposable a got walked into the cubs stadium and since then the cubs have not made it to the world series. As an advocate cubs fan I want to hope that the cubs curse is not really. But unfortunately after this season it makes me second guess myself. This season the cubs were in first place throughout the whole season. They were pretty much doing amazing. But once again around the time of the play offs they totally choked. They lost first round in the playoffs to the LA dodgers. I also remember when I was in 7th grade the cubs were doing amazing, and once again they lost it all in the play offs.

How much does music affect society?

I think that music effects society a lot. There are a lot of different types of music which gives the society a lot of different types of trends to chose from. First off, I think that the music definitely influences us on clothes. If we see famous musicians wearing certain clothes, then we may change. Also, some music can influence on our moods and how we feel. I think that music’s main influence is giving influencing us on our moods. If we here dark music, as a society we may change to have darker feelings.

The picture has a darker tone to it. The color scheme seems to flow on the line of grey, black and white. There are several shapes that seem to make up certain objects. In the picture there seems to be a conflict it suppose to depict the suffrage of people, animals and buildings due to all the violence and chaos.  On the bottom of the painting it looks like someone is dead, maybe that person lost the fight. This painting is supposed to illustrate the Nazi German bombing of Guernica. The painting is also supposed to depict all the killings that happened, 250 people were killed. Picasso showed War, and he’s showing a different side that many people don’t see.

Picture #2: Goya, 3^rd of May

In this picture the color scheme was more of orange, gold, dark red and brown. In the picture a group of people are bullying a man dressed in white and gold. On the bottom of the painting there are again dead men covered in blood. I’m guessing the people with the guns shot them. There seems to be a major conflict or problem between two different types of people. This painting seems to take place at night due to the sky being dark. The men who were getting attacked looked scrappy, not very polished, and Spanish. This painting was made to portray Spanish resistance to Napoleons army. This painting seems to depict war.

Picture #3: Manet, The execution of Maximillian

In this picture a group of polished men seem to be attacking another man. There seems to be a conflict between two different types of people. While the polished men are bullying one group, the group that is be bullying, some followers are watching over. The polished men seem to have a lot of weapons and they portray a very powerful person. The people peering over the wall seem distressed. It’s a painting about the emperor being executed. This painting is supposable not accurate.

I think that peer editing can be a helpful tool when creating a paper. I think that for this specific project, it was hard for people to peer edit my movie. I found it hard to peer edit other peoples projects too. The only real advice that I could give it, was if the movie made sense or not. For the papers, it seemed like it was working some what well. I felt like wikipedia wasn’t working well. I felt like it was kind of confusing when going back on the site.

I am frequently online, but one of the most frequent places that I visit is aol.com. I recieve all my emails through aol.com. I have set up an email account through this website. I have been using aol for quite a while. I first discovered this place when my family and I bought our first computer, which was around seven years ago. I think we found out this website through the guy that we bought the computer from. I didn’t really know a lot of history on AOL. I looked up online and it said that Aol was Founded in 1983 as a Quantum Computer Services.

AOL offers several different aspects to the online community. Not only does it offer email, it also offers several news stories. Most of the news stories are very controversial. They range from gossip about celebrities to recent health statistics. Most of the arguments are produced one sided making them  controversial to the publics eye. Not only are there news stories found on the front page of this website, there’s financial text printed, sports news printed, health news and shopping text. The information all have catchy titles which makes them very appealing. Some of the information posted on the website don’t seem valid.

I think there is a wide range of people that visit this website. I know my grandpa uses this website and I use it too. That in itself illustrates a wide range of age. There are several activities that you can manage on this website. At the top of the website you can find google toolbar which enable you to search web, images, video, news, local and shopping. AIM is also found on this website. AOL instant messenger is a tool that enables you to talk with others. Its a social network. I think AIM is a popular activity and its a popular custom that several teenager use. AIM also enables you to interact with a larger community. You are able to talk to anyone that has this tool. It dosen’t matter about your age, nothing can stop anyone from interacting with this tool.

I can’t really find many tensions with this website. The only problem that I have with it is the amount of spam mail I receive. I also sometimes have trouble uploading my mail, it sometimes takes longer that I wish for. It helps connect/ interact with a larger community through email, AIM ( talking network) and through recent news stories. I know for a fact that without AOL I would not be up to date on the news! AOL is a frequent website that I use, but in my opinion the amount of time I’m on it, benefits me.

I think a good writer is someone that has clear mechanics, vivid vocabulary, strong voice and excessive details. A good writer is someone that has creative ideas and has good organizational skills. A good writer in my opinion is someone that can write about anything and explain that topic thoroughly. I believe to be good in anything you do you need practice. To be a good writer you need practice. You also need drive, motivation and inspiration to become a good writer. I also think to become a good writer you need to have a wide span of imagination. Most good writers have great vocabulary too. I don’t have many questions concerning writing. One question I have is where is the best place to put the thesis? Over the years I have had several english teachers, all of which have told me different times where to put the thesis. Another question that I have is concerning commas. I’m still questionable where the correct time is to put a comma. There are so many rules with commas and I get confused on where to put some of them. Writing is very difficult for me. Its not one of my strengths. I do not have the best mechanics. I have really never achieved all the mechanical rules. I also have trouble with introductions and conclusions. I feel like I never give enough information to wrap the paper up and I give to much information to start the paper. I also feel like my descriptive words seem vague, I need to learn to be more descriptive when explaining my thoughts. One of my easiest traits that I have as a writer is my ideas. I feel like I always have creative ideas, but its difficult for me to organize them on paper. Over the course of this semester I hope to improve as a writer and learn more ways to become a better writer..
